The Problem
We undertake anti-slip treatment and signage for some of the UK’s leading property & facility management companies and in this instance the Prospect Shopping Centre in Hull had a problem with potential slip issues on their walkway bridge, linking their upper level car park to the Main Shopping Centre.
This walkway had previously been treated with a non-slip paint, but due to the combination of a heavy footfall and the area being open to the elements, this type of treatment soon wears away, leaving the Prospect Shopping Centre with a costly ongoing maintenance programme.
The Solution
Ever mindful of their Health & Safety obligations to the general public and their tenants, the management team sought a more permanent solution by engaging the services of Thermagrip.
We respond rapidly to all such instances and, following our site survey and acceptance of our highly competitive quotation, an installation date and time was agreed upon, which offered the minimal disruption the Centres normal routine.
Our highly skilled operatives prepped and installed our Thermagrip anti-slip treatment, during normal working hours, incurring minimum downtime, with the walkway being completed and fit for purpose within 4 hours from start to finish.
The Result
An aesthetically pleasing (a dark grey with yellow contrasting border) anti-slip walkway for many years to come, offering peace of mind to the Prospect Shopping Centre management and public alike.
